Job summary

Magna International, Inc is seeking a maintenance professional to support Cosma manufacturing. You will manage preventative maintenance for mechanical equipment, coordinate with planning, and drive reliability improvements across the plant.

Ideal candidates bring robotics and welding experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with external vendors. This role requires shift flexibility and cross-training across trades in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a maintenance setting with robots & welding.
• Experience purchasing and dealing with outside vendors.
• Strong mathematical skills and data analysis for costs.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience charting, creating spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Inventory management with knowledge of lead times, min/max, and re-order levels.
• Experience establishing a Preventive Maintenance program; eMaint a plus.
• Good listening, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with external vendors/integrators; CMS a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Able to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
• Willing to be cross-trained across skilled trades.
• Basic knowledge of robotics/automation preferred.
• Familiarity with welded sheet metal assemblies.
• Able to meet physical demands (lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, standing).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance procedures.
• Issue work orders and manage parts availability.
• Coordinate maintenance with Production Planning.
• Track breakdowns and KPI metrics (OA, OEE, MTTR, MTBF).
• Order and track equipment and spare parts in MRO crib.
• Coordinate vendor delivery lead times.
• Optimize inventory levels and min/max controls.
• Track warranty parts with vendors.
• Monitor maintenance spending for the department.
• Support equipment breakdowns and safety improvements.
• Create weekend work schedules and prepare crash carts for PMs.
• Collaborate across departments to meet targets and CI goals.
• Promote continuous improvement across environment, people, processes and equipment.
