Job summary

Harris Ranch Beef Company in Selma, CA is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, parts availability, and purchasing needs to minimize downtime and boost efficiency. You will work with Maintenance, Warehouse, and Purchasing to ensure timely resources for maintenance execution.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and CMMS/EAM experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with EAM or similar maintenance management software.
• Experience with CMMS software (ManagerPlus preferred)
• Working knowledge of maintenance operations, inventory management, and purchasing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and parts specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling, prioritizing, and tracking maintenance work orders, including preventive maintenance (PM), safety, and food safety activities.
• Utilize the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system to create, assign, update, and track work orders and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Warehouse, and Purchasing to ensure parts, tools, and materials are available for scheduled maintenance.
• Obtain vendor quotes, verify parts specifications and availability, and submit quotes and purchase requests for approval.
• Submit purchasing requests through the MRO portal and follow up on orders, deliveries, and outstanding materials.
• Assist with inventory coordination to maintain appropriate stock levels and prevent maintenance delays.
• Support mechanics with locating equipment manuals, identifying replacement parts, and coordinating maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance schedules, equipment documentation, purchasing records, and work order information.
• Conduct production floor walkthroughs as needed to review and update preventive maintenance activities.
• Communicate work order status, material shortages, and maintenance priorities to supervisors and management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, food safety, and operational efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
