Job summary

Huntsman seeks a Maintenance Planner for our Alabama site to plan and schedule preventive maintenance and repairs, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure timely availability of parts. The role supports MI program activities and maintains SAP-aligned job plan packages while tracking KPIs and risks.

The candidate should bring 5+ years in maintenance planning or related industrial roles, strong MS Office skills, and a solid understanding of safety and PSM requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance, reliability, or related industrial role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a prioritized maintenance plan to ensure PM and repair work is planned, scheduled, and completed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with Production, Projects, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure required materials and parts are ordered and available according to work priorities.
• Track planning and scheduling outcomes and implement improvements to increase process efficiency.
• Coordinate external resources and contractors required to complete repairs and preventive maintenance work.
• Support the MI program by prioritizing inspections and ensuring recommendations scheduled and completed.
• Report safety concerns, delays, irregularities, and equipment failures, and assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain job plan packages linked to SAP Work Orders and ensure compliance with safety and PSM requirements.
• Manage Purchase Orders, contractor services, Goods Receipts, and maintenance notifications.
• Propose equipment and process improvements to improve safety, environmental performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Control maintenance costs through prioritization of work, management of overtime, and utilization of external resources.
• Serve as backup for the Scheduler.
• Track and report Maintenance Planning and Scheduling KPIs in alignment with site, divisional, and corporate requirements.
• Follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned; assist Huntsman in achieving company goals; support the Maintenance Supervisor; participate in EH&S initiatives.
