Job summary

U.S. Pipe in Bessemer, AL seeks a Maintenance Planner to coordinate maintenance work, schedule weekend and shutdown tasks, and manage parts via CMMS.

This role collaborates with the Maintenance Leadership Team to ensure timely completions and cost-effective service with a focus on reliability. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in heavy industrial maintenance planning, strong CMMS experience (Maximo/MaintainX/SAP), and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years as Maintenance Planner in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience as Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Electrician, Millwright, or Machinist.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• CMMS experience: Maximo, MaintainX, SAP or similar.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan weekend and shutdown work with Maintenance Leadership.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and contracted work.
• Control daily/weekly/monthly/annual work using CMMS.
• Communicate with Production and schedule requested work.
• Purchase and organize parts, supplies, and equipment for open work orders.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules with leadership.
• Generate reports with Reliability Engineer to monitor maintenance performance.
