Maintenance Planner: Optimize Plant Maintenance & Parts Flow

Job summary

Techo-Bloc designs and manufactures premium landscaping products, and we're seeking a detail-driven Maintenance Planner to keep our Waterloo, IN and Rock Island, IL facilities running at full speed.

You will be the key link between maintenance, production, and vendors, planning and prioritizing work across shifts, managing preventive and corrective maintenance, and tracking performance in our ERP system to drive plant efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing maintenance planning.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be able to operate a forklift, man lift and other industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, D365 and Microsoft AX (highly preferred).
• Purchasing and vendor management
• High level knowledge of electrical and mechanical parts
• Excellent planning and execution skills
• Be an excellent communicator
• Ability to work under pressure and with others for a common goal

Responsibilities

• Build maintenance schedules and generate work orders across all shifts
• Own the preventive/corrective maintenance program and keep it optimized
• Track department performance through the ERP system and report on key metrics
• Manage vendor relationships — sourcing quotes, technical documentation, and pricing
• Forecast and manage parts inventory (MRP) so the team always has what it needs
• Estimate labor and parts costs, and adjust plans when equipment breaks down
• Prepare purchase requisitions/POs and support parts room operations
• Occasionally assist outside normal hours for urgent needs
