Job summary

Costa Farms in Miami, FL is seeking a Maintenance Planner to improve workforce productivity by planning and scheduling maintenance work across our facilities. You will coordinate labor, parts, materials, and equipment access, reporting to the Maintenance Manager and supporting Operations and Maintenance teams.

You will develop and update maintenance plans, generate requisitions, maintain CMMS records, manage backlog, and participate in weekly scheduling meetings to ensure timely execution and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience or ability to learn CMMS system.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in heavy industrial field.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Mathematical and documentation skills.
• Advanced computer skills (e-mail, internet, data entry).
• Able to work nights and weekends and pass a physical/respiratory exam.

Responsibilities

• Identify elements of an executable work package including work plan, materials, tools, permits, and labor requirements.
• Ongoing training of team members to ensure process consistency and data capture.
• Generate requisitions for tools, materials or contractor services.
• Maintain historical information in CMMS or appropriate database.
• Manage backlog of planning work and lead cross-functional meetings to set priorities.
• Ensure proper closure of maintenance orders and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to identify needs and solutions.
• Review, organize and prioritize work approved for planning.
• Coordinate with purchasing to order and reserve materials.
• Determine if a job is ready to schedule.
• Update work order statuses per process.
