Recruiter & Senior Associate: Medical Device - Industrial & Manufacturing

I’m partnering with a large, global manufacturing organization to hire a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to support a high-asset, production-critical facility in Sumter County, South Carolina.

This role sits within Engineering/Maintenance and is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and planned maintenance activities to maximize asset availability and minimize unplanned downtime.

Role highlights

• Plan and schedule PM, CM, outages, and other planned maintenance activities
• Build integrated maintenance schedules aligned with production planning
• Own work order planning, resource allocation, backlog management, and cost control
• Ensure materials, tools, labor, and timing are validated for each job
• Drive maintenance KPIs, planning efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams

Ideal background

• 3–5 years in maintenance as a technician or first-line supervisor
• Experience with processing, packaging, utilities, or facility equipment
• Strong maintenance planning & work control fundamentals
• Hands-on CMMS experience (SAP strongly preferred)
• Strong communication and team-oriented mindset
