The Maintenance Planner develops a maintenance work order backlog that is "Ready to Execute" by utilizing existing standards to plan sequenced tasks. They estimate the time required for craftsmen to complete those tasks in the field, specify the appropriate parts, materials, and services needed, and coordinate with other functions to ensure alignment with business priorities and schedules. This position creates weekly maintenance schedules that are fully resourced with manpower and feasible in terms of parts and services. They also collaborate with production and supply chain functions to ensure alignment with business priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Plan maintenance work orders by combining field work and utilizing existing task lists.
2. Coordinate with the parts coordinator to ensure critical equipment parts are attached to functional locations/equipment as part of BOMs.
3. Adjust work order plans based on feedback from mechanics in the field.
4. Build standard task lists for repetitive jobs.
5. Develop weekly resource and materials feasible schedules based on stakeholder inputs.
6. Review work orders to determine acceptability.
7. Perform field planning; identify job steps and sequences.
8. Act as the focal point for Material/Tool/Equipment issues during job execution.
9. Update Task lists in SAP.
10. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) plans for existing and new equipment.
11. Follow-up on PM plan execution and make necessary corrections.
12. Regularly review and update the PM plan.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with SAP Plant Maintenance Module.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel.
• Physical demands include occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, pushing/pulling, reaching, gripping, frequent standing, walking, visual acuity, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Environmental conditions include exposure to uneven ground, extreme temperatures, heights, biohazards, noise, dust, fumes, hazards, and machinery.
