About the role: The individual assigned to this position is responsible for managing and supporting capital/expense projects, and maintenance/operational issues as required. The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for work assigned at all sites located in the Southern NY Region.
Responsibilities: The Maintenance Planner is expected to demonstrate the ability to comply with all reasonable industry-related standards and programs. Some specific responsibilities may include (although not limited to) the following:

What You’ll Do
- Oversight of assigned projects, including overall project safety, managing day-to-day maintenance activities for all Southern NY assets, managing contractors, and managing the CMMS System for the SNY region.
- Support and manage maintenance and operations personnel, including managing electrical contractors, tracking employee time in the CMMS System, managing critical equipment issues, and supporting the Mid-Atlantic Team as needed.
- Support compliance and regulatory projects such as dam safety inspections, wildlife management, water quality certifications, and SPCC compliance.
- Perform administrative duties like developing operational procedures, managing budgets, ensuring permits and regulatory compliance, maintaining records, and collaborating with various departments on project requirements.
What you’ll need:
- An associate degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in hydro, steam, or gas turbine power plant operations.
- Proficiency in personal computer use, including word processing, spreadsheets, data collection, and databases.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and completion of OSHA 10-hour course (or willingness to complete upon employment).
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs and comprehend complex plant operations.
- Ability to work extended hours if required and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual tasks including operating hand and power tools, lifting at least 50 lbs., bending, maneuvering in tight spaces, working in hot, noisy, dark environments, at heights, around water, and wearing respiratory protection.
- Ability to reach, walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and manipulate items manually, and to read labels, gauges, and indicators.
- Effective verbal communication skills, including in emergency situations and over radios.
