Global Finance Solutions (GFS) a fast-paced, team-focused organization is seeking a Production Planning Manager to support our LATAM Production Planning Team.

The Production Planning Team worldwide ensures Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers among others miles have robust and cost optimal labor plans while constantly innovating in a number of areas aimed at improving our customers’ experience. We are looking for a passionate person to work with us on innovating and improving our processes on behalf of our customers. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of leveraging strategic mindset to influence network-level decisions, leading large-scale processes and initiatives, diving deep into operational complexities, and pioneering transformative solutions across areas and geographies. You will own end-to-end projects lifecycle management, from strategic conception to execution, while building and maintaining executive relationships through clear communication of risks, opportunities, and results. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership acumen to drive cost-optimal solutions while maintaining Amazon's customer-centric focus and bias for action.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop in-depth understanding of processes, tools, data, and teams involved; and define best practices for cross functional teams.
• Understanding of analytical simulations and assessments. Must be able to quickly understand the business impact of the trends and make decisions that make sense based on available data.
• Work with planners to improve planning processes, based on analysis and trends or new tech features testing and implementation.
• Communicating complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing.
• Participate in global operational and production planning initiatives and project roll outs to cater to growing business needs.
• Propose, develop and promote process improvement and standardization across all sites in the network.
• Ensure transparent and consistent reporting of status, progress, impact, and risks; ensure appropriate action is taken to minimize impact and mitigate risks
• The position involves remote communication via Amazon Technologies with colleagues and teams in LATAM/worldwide.
• Work independently and be able to lead others to deliver results.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Experience in Planning Capacity, Workflow, Financial Planning, Operations Field Management or related fields
- Experience in advanced planning & optimization processes and systems, with the ability to influence technical teams to achieve the right technical solutions
- Advanced Excel and data visualization tools
- Effective English and Portuguese language skills (verbal and written)
- Some programming experience is a plus to automate tools whenever appropriate
- Experience with performance metrics, basic/working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferred
- Deep understanding of Distribution and Manufacturing Resource Planning
