Job summary

United Pharma Technologies Inc in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for parenteral fill/finish lines in a GMP-regulated environment. Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Pharmaceutical GMP-regulated environment experience.
  • Parenteral or aseptic fill/finish manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Hands-on CMMS experience, preferably IBM Maximo.
  • Experience managing PMs, work orders, and maintenance plans.
  • Strong organizational, planning, scheduling, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for parenteral fill/finish manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop, manage, and track work orders, PM schedules, and maintenance job plans using a CMMS (IBM Maximo).
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and external vendors.
  • Monitor work order status and ensure activities complete on schedule.
  • Track maintenance performance metrics, PM completion, backlog, and downtime.
  • Support maintenance planning for planned shutdowns and outages.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on equipment criticality and production needs.
  • Ensure maintenance planning complies with GMP, safety, quality, and site procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize production interruptions and improve reliability.

Maintenance Planner – Parenteral Fill/Finish

Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview

Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for parenteral fill/finish manufacturing lines. The Maintenance Planner will partner closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to plan and schedule maintenance activities, minimize equipment downtime, and ensure preventive maintenance is completed on time in a GMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for parenteral fill/finish manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop, manage, and track work orders, PM schedules, and maintenance job plans using a CMMS, preferably IBM Maximo.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and resources with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and external vendors.
  • Monitor work order status and ensure maintenance activities are completed according to schedule.
  • Track maintenance performance metrics, PM completion, backlog, and equipment downtime.
  • Support maintenance planning and scheduling for planned shutdowns and equipment outages.
  • Help prioritize maintenance activities based on equipment criticality, production requirements, and operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Parenteral or aseptic fill/finish manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience with CMMS systems, preferably IBM Maximo.
  • Experience managing preventive maintenance (PM), work orders, and maintenance job plans.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance schedules with Operations, Maintenance teams, and external vendors.
