Position Summary: The Maintenance Planner coordinates workflows between production and maintenance management, especially during the deployment of Panasonic PanaCIM, a new computerized maintenance management system. The Planner must quickly learn and become proficient in PanaCIM.

The key responsibilities include reviewing master production schedules and work orders, setting priorities, and adjusting schedules based on work order specifications. The Planner will also guide the maintenance team towards a proactive approach rather than reactive.

Essential Duties
  • Coordinate and prepare maintenance resources and activities based on staff skills, maintaining detailed schedules for various tasks.
  • Work with internal teams to plan and schedule all maintenance activities in the management system, including preventive, reactive, project, repairs, calibrations, and updates.
  • Ensure resource availability, including staff, materials, documents, parts, and approvals, for planned maintenance.
  • Audit work order assignments.
  • Integrate new equipment and maintenance strategies into PanaCIM, verifying details with production and engineering teams.
  • Use tracking tools and KPIs within PanaCIM to prepare reports and ensure performance goals are met.
  • Coordinate emergency repairs with production and operations teams.
  • Screen incoming repair requests and work orders, communicate with inventory and maintenance supervisors to plan effectively.
  • Follow industry best practices for asset management planning and scheduling.
  • Continuously improve and ensure compliance with PanaCIM system.
  • Participate in team efforts to maximize equipment productivity and availability.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
  • Wearing PPE such as Tyvek suits, safety shoes, gloves, glasses, masks, and hazmat suits with respirators is required for safety.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.

Experience: At least two years as a maintenance planner, with mechanical aptitude, effective planning skills, and experience in electronics or asset management.

Skills: Proficiency with maintenance management systems, SAP, and effective communication skills.

Physical Demands
  • Sit, walk, stand, and lift as specified, with occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
