Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to support the Maintenance Department by ensuring that all necessary equipment and information is readily available. This role collaborates with the Maintenance Manager, Supervisors, and Mechanics to order parts and services and maintains up-to-date records.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of maintenance admin and buying experience, strong data-entry skills, and proficiency with Microsoft programs. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum of Maintenance Administrative and Buying experience and computer skills.
• High School or GED equivalent with some Technical Training or related training or experience.
• Ability to enter data and to work with all the Microsoft Programs.
• A thorough understanding of Maintenance jargon is necessary and experience in Maintenance Inventory systems is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Assists the Maintenance Manager, Supervisors and Mechanics to order parts and services as needed via the AS400 and purchasing department.
• Follows up to get quotes and information to ensure the shifts have the necessary parts and services.
• Coordinates orders with the Buyer, MRO and updates status of all parts and services.
• Reviews orders and enters data according to mechanical knowledge and contractor information.
• Helps implement a Parts Program for Maintenance and trains others as required.
• Maintains records spreadsheets to track status and verifications of entries.
• Verifies relevant information in the system and communicates data to Purchasing.
• Receives parts into the maintenance shop and maintains accurate records of incoming materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
