Qualifications

Pay Range

This range is provided by PedalPoint Recycling & PedalPoint LifeCycle Solutions. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $70,000.00/hr - $75,000.00/hr

Role and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections (PM); diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment including balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, eddy currents, electro-magnetic belts, optical sorters, diverters, compressors, motors, glass breakers, wire tie systems, fans, pumps, forklifts, and building equipment.
  • Maintain DEI (Daily Equipment Inspections) backlog.
  • Ensure operational efficiency of electrical and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
  • Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Inspect the quality of third-party repairs or rebuilds.
  • Recommend measures to improve production, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Perform emergency breakdown service calls.
  • Work with limited supervision and support flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards and safety procedures.
  • Ensure timely and correct completion of maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education
  • Experience with conveyor belts and tracking.
  • Knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related fields, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical control, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including air compressors.
  • Ability to safely operate tools and diagnose and repair equipment and vehicles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean driving record.
Work Environment
  • Physical activity involving pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting over 25 pounds.
  • Work from ladders or raised platforms and stand on concrete floors most of the day.
  • Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes.
  • Personal characteristics: organized, reliable, leadership qualities, trustworthy, and aligned with organizational culture.
