Job summary

Messer Canada Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Operations Tech I to maintain a safe, efficient chemical process facility in Brandon, MS. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs, ensuring reliability of critical equipment.

Ideal candidates read P&IDs/PFDs, use SAP CMMS for work orders, and handle on-call overtime. You will contribute to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a growing industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in a related process plant operations, maintenance or reliability activity.
• Certificate in a technical discipline or recent military training in a technical field a plus.
• Basic knowledge of chemical manufacturing hazards and safe operation practices.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies, apply HWP, LOTO and energy isolation procedures.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and basic repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Set up and operate tools and equipment for assigned work; troubleshoot equipment.
• Utilize SAP CMMS to schedule and track maintenance activities and shutdowns.
• Assist in plant shutdowns, startups, and production state changes.
• Interpret engineering drawings including P&IDs and PFDs; document calibrations and inspections.
