Job summary

INDOT Monroe Unit in Indiana is seeking a maintenance supervisor to oversee crews, assign work, and ensure safety and quality across winter ops and equipment maintenance.

The role requires a valid Class A or B CDL (or ability to obtain within 90 days), strong knowledge of highway maintenance, and supervisory experience. A high school diploma is acceptable; degree not required. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL or obtain within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent acceptable; degree not required.
• Experience in highway maintenance and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to units and ensure materials/equipment are available.
• Oversee operations to meet deadlines with minimal interruptions.
• Supervise a unit or group of employees and provide feedback.
• Support winter operations including snow/ice removal and equipment maintenance.
• Recruit, onboard, and train staff; set expectations and evaluate performance.
• Ensure attendance at assigned worksites is maintained.
