Maintenance Mechanic Technician 3rd Shift

Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic Technician will perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on all production machinery, aiming to improve equipment reliability and product quality as part of the maintenance team.

Department: Maintenance.

Shift available: 3rd shift (11pm - 7am).

Essential Functions:

• Work on packaging equipment, bulk flour systems, industrial ovens, conveyors, and dryers.
• Complete daily logs, work orders, and communicate with incoming shifts.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Work on low voltage and high voltage equipment, including starters, motors, VFDs, sensors, and controllers.
• Install, troubleshoot, and stabilize plant equipment.
• Read schematics and blueprints for electrical troubleshooting.
• Repair and upgrade machinery and equipment.
• Support installation and testing of new electromechanical equipment.
• Calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies, metal detectors, and scales.
• Test electro-mechanical assemblies using test instruments.
• Fabricate guards and perform welding (stick & TIG).
• Read and interpret HMI panels for troubleshooting.
• Install electronic components and hardware.
• Operate and maintain robotic equipment.
• Assist in production and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Communicate issues with production staff and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures safely.
• Participate in overtime and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Maintenance Technology, Electromechanics, or equivalent experience.
• 1-5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices, OSHA standards, and safety.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with GMP, OSHA, and production requirements.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in production areas with exposure to aromas, dust, hot and cold environments, working at heights, and operating machinery.
