Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician to keep paperboard converting equipment reliable across installations, repairs, and troubleshooting. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance to support safe production operations.

Starting pay is $42.11/hr with an increase to $51.43/hr after completing Electrical Training. Weekend and rotating shift availability apply, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401K.

Qualifications

• 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HVAC, air compressors, hydraulics or paperboard converting systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work orders to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain paperboard converting equipment and facility systems.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in process improvement and root cause analysis to reduce waste.
• Provide repair time estimates and maintain maintenance documentation.
