Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Jamesville, NY to perform planned, unplanned and preventive maintenance ensuring safe, efficient operation of equipment in our industrial disposal process. You will follow maintenance schedules, perform root-cause analyses of breakdowns, prioritize tasks to minimize downtime, document work orders, and inspect machinery to meet safety standards.

This role supports continuous production and requires rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per schedule to prevent breakdowns.
• Use root‑cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages with cross‑functional teams.
• Prioritize work to minimize downtime and ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment and utility systems.
• Open and close out work orders, manage spare parts, and document activities in the maintenance system.
• Repair and/or maintain machinery including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and part replacement.
• Observe and evaluate equipment operation to diagnose malfunctions.
• Review maintenance reports to plan and modify activities.
• Inspect machines to ensure adherence to safety and performance standards.
