Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in Jamesville, NY for full-time, on-site work. You will perform planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems in our industrial disposal process.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance per schedule, root-cause analysis, and maintaining maintenance records in the CMMS. Candidates should have 2–4 years of heavy industrial experience and be able to work a rotating shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime
• Utilize root-cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages
• Prioritize work to minimize production downtime and complete paperwork in the maintenance documentation program
• Open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities in the plant’s maintenance program
• Repair and/or maintain operating machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
• Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery to diagnose malfunctions
• Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
