Job summary

The Krusteaz Company in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our production team. The role focuses on reducing downtime by diagnosing mechanical problems, maintaining equipment, and improving processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical, mechanical, and PLC aptitudes and a broad skill set. You will interpret blueprints, perform metal fabrication, plumbing, pneumatic and millwright tasks, and work with motors, drives, and automated systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with aerial platforms and forklifts preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Exposure to Allen-Bradley PLC and FactoryTalk software preferred.
• AC/DC motor, VFD and VSD drive experience preferred.
• Festo, SMC pneumatic system exposure helpful.
• Trade/technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide industrial maintenance to return equipment to base condition.
• Interpret blueprints, fabricate metal, perform plumbing and millwright tasks.
• Improve production reliability and minimize downtime with repairs.
• Troubleshoot, operate maintenance software and handheld devices, document work.
