Job Overview

This role involves assisting with the layout installation, maintenance, and repair of piping, piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for steam, hot water, petrochemicals, and other industrial processing systems, under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, sketches, and data to select materials, cut, measure, and thread pipe, install pipe hangers, and prepare piping for welding and flange assembly for both new installations and maintenance.
• Take measurements and fit flat or circumference plates for inlays and overlays.
• Possess general knowledge of tanks, vessels, and structural work.
• Be physically capable of climbing ladders and stairways, entering and maneuvering through vessels, lifting at least fifty pounds, working at heights, and assisting other crafts as needed.
• Willing to work in cooling towers, including fitting tests and wearing respiratory protection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: No minimum requirement.
• Experience: 6+ months in an industrial setting preferred.
