Pipefitter Helper - Austin Industrial-WATER TEAM-NO PER DIEM

This person will assist pipefitters and pipe fabricators in laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various systems including steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing. Additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities include:

1. Cutting, threading, and hammering pipe to specifications using appropriate tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
2. Drilling holes in walls to allow pipe passage, using pneumatic drills.
3. Selecting the appropriate type and size of pipe.
4. Mounting pipe hangers and brackets.
5. Assisting in installing valves, couplings, and fittings.
6. Disassembling and removing damaged or worn pipe as needed.
7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months experience in an industrial setting preferred.
