Job summary

Leggett & Platt's Cape Girardeau Branch is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role focuses on troubleshooting, installing, maintaining and repairing plant machinery and equipment, with experience in industrial electrical systems a plus.

The position operates on a set 8-hour shift Monday–Friday, with responsibilities including preventive maintenance and startup/shutdown procedures, and the ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience with 480/three phase is required.
• Electrical systems experience preferred.
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings.
• Experience or training with electronic devices (flow meters, encoders, servo motors, sensors, photo eyes).
• Ability to read architectural and mechanical prints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Repairing industrial equipment
• Replacing glands and seals in pumping equipment
• Analyzing equipment and machinery malfunctions, determining procedures and performing repairs
• Installing and maintaining machinery
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems
• Performing preventative maintenance functions
• Performing plant start up and shut down procedures

Education

Highschool Diploma or GED

5 years experience in industrial maintenance

Experience with 480/ three phase

Electrical systems experience

Hydraulic/Pneumatic drawings interpretation

Electronic devices installation/maintenance (flow meters, encoders, servo motors, sensors)

Architectural/Mechanical prints interpretation
