Job summary

Leggett & Platt in Havre de Grace, MD, is seeking a Maintenance Technician Electrician to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of machinery and facility systems. This non-exempt, hourly position supports production and is critical for safe plant operations.

You will handle tank and pump systems, mechanical drives, conveyors, and electrical control circuits, while following lockout/tagout and safety policies. Experience preferred; 18+ years old; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year maintenance technician experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts and follow safety procedures.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance work orders and schedules to ensure timely tasks.
• Analyze recurring equipment problems and implement permanent repairs.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance as scheduled.
• Identify and source repair parts and obtain quotes.
• Operate mechanical drive systems and conveyor equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems and replace components.
• Support pourline operations and assist with production equipment.
• Follow all safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Cross-train and support production as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping in the maintenance shop.
