Job summary

Macy's is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic II to keep our distribution center equipment running smoothly in North Carolina. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support ongoing projects with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems, documenting work in our systems, and ensuring safety and reliability across facility operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in commercial/industrial maintenance or equivalent
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, policies, and manuals in English
• Strong communication with colleagues, supervisors, vendors, and drivers
• Basic computer/handheld tech skills to document work in maintenance systems

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with maintenance of conveyors, sorters, and related equipment.
• Trouble shoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
• Document repairs, parts usage, and system notes in maintenance software.
• Collaborate with leaders and vendors to resolve issues and improve reliability
