Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair, overhaul, maintain, install and modify equipment and facilities at our Portland, OR site.

This role emphasizes preventive maintenance, tool use, and safe work practices within a demanding aerospace manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex systems, maintaining tools and equipment, and training junior staff.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret and follow specifications on tech cards, work orders, repair manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently and in a team effectively.
• Assist other departments through planning and technical assistance processes.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate PCC vehicles.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facilities.
• Repair, overhaul, maintain, install and fabricate modifications to equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, induction heating, lubrication, abrasive and pressure cleaning systems and their components.
• Maintain machine tools and equipment used for maintenance.
• Train less skilled personnel as assigned.
• May participate in Hazardous Materials Spill Response team.
