Job summary

Baxters North America in Salem, Oregon is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to service complex electrical and mechanical production equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot downtime, and ensure equipment reliability.

This role requires formal training in welding, sheet metal, machine work, or related fields; 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, CMMS experience, and a strong commitment to safety and documentation.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or GED required.
Formal training in welding, sheet metal, machine work, plumbing, equipment repair, mechanical and electrical systems, CMMS, and calibration.
1–3 years of related experience required; 5+ years preferred in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Repairs and maintains machinery and production equipment using hand/power tools and precision instruments.
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
Troubleshoots downtime and implements countermeasures.
Creates requisitions for parts and materials.
Performs calibration and changeover.
Attends training classes and adheres to safety rules.
Collaborates with production to ensure product quality and food safety.
Other duties as assigned.
