Job summary

Kurt Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for the 2nd shift to repair and maintain production machinery. You will diagnose issues, rebuild components, and perform preventive maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of related industrial experience; 4 years and electrical certifications are preferred. A 20% shift differential applies to the base pay for the 2nd shift.

  • Fabricate repair parts with machine shop tools and equipment.

The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors systems, and hydraulic systems or tools.

2nd Shift:

3:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m., Monday - Thursday

Shift Differential:

Second shift employees are eligible for a 20% shift differential on top of base pay.

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $30.24 to $40.32. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Essential Functions
  • Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
  • Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
  • Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining, or replacement of purchased parts.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Provides maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • May repair electrical equipment.
