Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer in the Southeast, seeks a Class A Maintenance Mechanic to support maintenance of machines and facility infrastructure. You will learn from seasoned mechanics, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn parts, and perform routine tune-ups to ensure reliable production.

The role emphasizes safety and quality compliance, with opportunities to advance through hands-on learning and teamwork in a structured maintenance shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role preferred.
• Must follow safety and quality rules to ensure a safe, high-quality production environment.

Responsibilities

• Examine machines to diagnose sources of trouble and perform repairs as needed.
• Dismantle, rebuild, or replace worn parts and order replacements when required.
• Repair, overhaul, and adjust engines, transmissions, and related systems.
• Assist with maintenance of building structures, plumbing fixtures, and equipment.
• Follow supervisor directions and support other mechanics as needed.

Work involves performing some activities of lesser skills independently such as; tune up of automobiles, general maintenance of building structures, replacement of worn-out parts, etc. But, also includes working hand-in-hand with trained mechanics in diagnosing and repairing machinery and equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble.Dismantle machines and reassemble if necessary.Replace broken and worn out parts; Order replacement parts if required.Make all necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.Keep in good repair the building structures and equipment; repairing plumbing fixtures, etc., motors occasional painting or touching up structures or equipment.Repair, rebuild, or overhaul internal combustion engines including replacement of piston rings, bearing, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves, rebuilding carburetors, etc.Overhaul transmissions, repair fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.Assist other Maintenance Mechanics as needed.Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.Job Specifications or QualificationsEducation and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.-All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
