Assist Maintenance Mechanics, perform tune-ups, diagnose machinery, and repair equipment. You will work with experienced techs to keep manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, safety-first culture, and opportunities for growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Comfort with basic tools and mechanical systems for maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to learn and work alongside skilled maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and quality rules to maintain a safe workplace.
• Examine machines to diagnose trouble sources and plan repairs.
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery as needed for maintenance.
• Replace worn parts and order replacements when necessary.
• Make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Maintain/building structures and equipment, including basic plumbing or painting as needed.
• Assist other Maintenance Mechanics and respond to supervisor requests.

Summary of Primary Functions

Assist the Maintenance Mechanics in all work in order to learn the skills of a Class A Maintenance Mechanic.

Work involves performing some activities of lesser skills independently such as; tune up of automobiles, general maintenance of building structures, replacement of worn-out parts, etc. But, also includes working hand-in-hand with trained mechanics in diagnosing and repairing machinery and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
• Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble.
• Dismantle machines and reassemble if necessary.
• Replace broken and worn out parts; Order replacement parts if required.
• Make all necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
• Keep in good repair the building structures and equipment; repairing plumbing fixtures, etc., motors occasional painting or touching up structures or equipment.
• Repair, rebuild, or overhaul internal combustion engines including replacement of piston rings, bearing, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves, rebuilding carburetors, etc.
• Overhaul transmissions, repair fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.
• Assist other Maintenance Mechanics as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Job Specifications or Qualifications Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
