Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Maintenance Helper trainee to repair, overhaul, maintain, install and modify equipment and facilities. Trainees are expected to complete a 2100-hour program with on-the-job and formal training, with promotion potential to Maintenance Mechanic II based on performance and company needs.

The role involves hands-on maintenance, fabrication, and safety responsibilities across plant equipment, with opportunities for skill advancement as training progresses.

Qualifications

• Completion of PCC's Maintenance Helper program or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience with basic welding, torch cutting and fabrication.
• Ability to read and follow technical specifications, manuals and drawings.
• Valid driver's license may be required to operate PCC vehicles.
• Ability to perform basic math and communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Program provides ~2100 hours of on-the-job and formal training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain manufacturing and facilities equipment in proper working order.
• Identify and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Fabricate modifications to equipment and facilities as needed.
• Troubleshoot vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, induction and arc melting systems.
• Operate and maintain machine tools and other shop equipment.
• Follow safety rules and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Complete logs and records.
