Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Tulare, CA to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems, ensuring safety and compliance with plant programs. You will read schematics, participate in training, and support continuous improvement efforts across the utility team.

Responsibilities include completing PMs on schedule, maintaining ammonia system integrity, and actively engaging in PSM/RMP activities to minimize downtime and ensure

Qualifications

• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• One-year related experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems with daily rounds to ensure compliance with PSM/RMP policies.
• Read and follow basic and advanced drawings and schematics.
• Provide informal and formal training for other Utility team members as required.
• Ensure PMs are completed in a timely manner and maintain ammonia system integrity per guidance.
• Be actively involved in all elements of the PSM/RMP programs and safety initiatives.
