Job summary

Amcor LLC in Peosta, IA is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to oversee shift maintenance of all machinery, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance. The role requires hands-on fabrication and strong PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical skills to keep high-speed production lines running and to improve equipment reliability.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $32.00–$36.00 with a $2.25 shift differential, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus and 11 paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a high-speed assembly production environment as a maintenance mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLCs.
• Forklift certification and safe operating practices as per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance on all machinery during shift.
• Troubleshoot plant maintenance issues and perform timely repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure daily PMs are recorded.
• Maintain adequate repair parts stock and responsible for entering Work Order Requests.
• Lead by example in housekeeping and safety standards.
