Amcor Flexibles, LLC in Muscatine, IA seeks a Facility Technician to ensure equipment reliability and safe operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with installations and demolition, and uphold housekeeping standards across the site.

You will document work details, collaborate with contractors, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and attendance policies while advancing production goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge gained through training equivalent to one year of college or trade school or four to five years preferred.
• Two to four years of experience in industrial and facility repair.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty adequately.
• Possess basic mechanical skills.
• Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little or no supervision.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
• Able to sit to prepare reports and use computer equipment, walking to inspect facility including raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods and overall manufacturing and warehouse operations.
• Ability to work in high room temperatures and humidity.
• Exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally; up to 50 pounds frequently; up to 40 pounds regularly; frequently will lift 30 pounds.
• Computer skills - experience with Microsoft Office and products desirable.

Responsabilités

• Follow all company safety, quality and attendance policies; be a safety role model and report hazards.
• Regularly inspect and maintain production support equipment including material handling systems, wire cutter, oil filling/recovery, conveyor and stretch wrapper.
• Assist with assembly, installation, disassembly and demolition of production equipment for upgrades or new installations.
• Keep work area neat and meet housekeeping standards; take on extra duties as needed.
• Accurately record documentation of work performed.
• Work with contractors for maintenance or projects.
• Maintain building and grounds.
• Participate in employee-driven teams and continuous improvement projects addressing scrap, quality, safety, or production issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
