Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to keep RDC equipment fully operational across conveyors, rolling stock, and building systems. The role combines electrical and mechanical repair with mentorship responsibilities for Maintenance Utility staff, while ensuring safe, efficient maintenance practices.

The incumbent will plan tasks, order spare parts, perform lock-out/tag-out, and document work in the CMMS, contributing to reliability and smooth shift transitions at our Taylor, PA facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or technical training may substitute education requirements.
• 2 years of experience in the specialty area.
• Electrical/electronic theory experience up to 600 volts or willingness to obtain training within 1 year.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Certification to perform Maintenance Mechanic work as required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate certification as required by state and local regulations.
• Prepares worksite; performs lock-out/tag-out.
• Gathers tools and spare parts for task.
• Uses tools safely; wears PPE.
• Documents condition of equipment, work performed, and parts used.
• Enters data into the 7I CMMS; closes PM work orders.
• Mentors Maintenance Utility and coordinates with higher-level mechanics.
• Provides status to next shift and assists with training as needed.
