Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I at its distribution center in North Carolina to diagnose, repair, and maintain conveyors, rolling stock, and building components.

You will work independently and with teams, applying electrical and mechanical knowledge, while upholding safety and quality standards to keep the facilities running smoothly.

This on-site role requires on-call rotation, safety emphasis, and meticulous maintenance records to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• At least 2 years of experience in your specialty area.
• Background in electrical/electronic theory up to 600 volts.
• Able to lift 25–70 pounds and work safely at heights.
• Certified to perform maintenance work as required by local regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to follow safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a distribution/warehouse environment handling physical and environmental factors.
• Use tools for maintenance tasks requiring fine motor skills.
• Perform repairs in conveyors, rolling stock, or building components in the RDC.
• Demonstrate electrical and mechanical ability for safe, independent repairs.
• Diagnose equipment issues using trade skills and systems knowledge.
• Obtain or order the proper parts for repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
• Stay updated on new technologies through ongoing training.
