Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I for our RDC to keep equipment fully operational. You will diagnose faults, plan repairs, order parts, and execute mechanical and electrical tasks across conveyors, rolling stock, and building systems.

Mentoring a Maintenance Utility and collaborating with senior staff are expected. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in the specialty area, electrical theory knowledge up to 600V, and a valid state driver’s

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of electrical/electronic theory up to 600V
• Reads blueprints and schematics
• Welding and fabrication experience or certification preferred
• Operates maintenance vehicles and equipment
• Maintains safety compliance and PPE usage
• 2+ years in specialty area (conveyors, rolling stock, or building)
• Possesses valid state driver’s license
• May require state-specific certified maintenance work

Responsibilities

• Maintain certification as required by regulations
• Assess safety requirements before tasks
• Prepare site, lock-out/tag-out
• Assemble tools and parts for tasks
• Use tools safely and PPE
• Diagnose equipment, plan repairs, order parts
• Mentor Maintenance Utility
• Consult senior mechanics as needed
• Document equipment condition and work performed
• Enter data into CMMS and close PMs
• Communicate status to next shift
• Specialize in two areas and repair complex faults
• Attend training to expand skills
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor
• Assist with battery changes
