Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I for the RDC to keep equipment fully operational. The role requires expertise in conveyors, rolling stock, or building with broader knowledge across all three areas. You will diagnose issues, plan repairs, order parts, and document work while mentoring junior staff.

Starting pay range is posted; field growth includes safety training, and opportunities to work across multiple maintenance systems in a large retail distribution network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or technical school; equivalent experience accepted.
• 2 years of experience in the specialty area.
• Valid state driver’s license; certification to perform work at mechanic level where required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate safety certifications and follow regulations.
• Plan, prepare, and perform lock-out/tag-out as needed.
• Gather tools and spare parts; use PPE and safe work practices.
• Diagnose equipment issues, determine repairs, and order parts.
• Document conditions, work performed, and parts used in the system.
• Mentor Maintenance Utility and escalate to senior staff when necessary.
