Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years experience in maintenance/repair of buildings, plumbing, or mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable for university insurance.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs faucets, flush valves, commodes, lavatories and other sanitary fixtures and equipment.
• Installs, maintains and repairs electric lighting, outlets and related electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Performs painting, carpentry and flooring/ceiling repairs with power tools.
• Reads floor plans and basic structural drawings.
• Draws illustrations of work and estimates materials for projects.
• Erects walls, ceilings and roofs and performs drywall work.
• Builds and sets concrete and handles site cleanups.
• Operates equipment including aerial lifts and forklifts.
• Drives university vehicle to job sites and moves supplies up to 100 lbs.
