Job summary

Saint-Gobain (CertainTeed) in Ennis, TX seeks a Mechanic I to support safe, reliable manufacturing. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, repair production equipment, and follow LOTO and safety standards on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–11:00 PM). Must have 3+ years as a mechanic and a High School diploma or GED.

You will use CMMS, read blueprints, and fabricate jigs or guards as needed. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work with powered hand tools is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years as Mechanic I.
• Ability to work without close supervision and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read, write and do basic math.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production lines and support equipment.
• Follow LOTO procedures and safety requirements.
• Utilize CMMS for work orders and basic documentation.
• Read blueprints or sketches to fabricate jigs, hangers, and guards.
• Operate hand tools and welding equipment as needed.
