Job summary

Ball Corporation in Millersburg, Oregon, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support production goals on a rotating 12-hour shift (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) with 2-3-2 schedule and day/night rotation every 4 weeks.

The role requires troubleshooting, installation, and repair of all production equipment, adherence to safety and environmental standards, and coordination with contract labor. Onsite work and potential travel to customer sites may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of mechanical maintenance in industrial setting.
• Experience with maintenance of high-speed manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG, pipes, sheet metal).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and moves production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on buildings and grounds.
• Ensure safety practices and environmental compliance.
• Directs contract labor on assignments.
• Communicate status to next shift.
