Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or education equivalent required.
• 4+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Experience as Maintenance Mechanic or Millwright in industrial setting.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in high-speed manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety policies and procedures for safe work.
• Supports food safety system guidelines.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, installs, erects, moves and dismantles machinery and production equipment.
• Inspects sites, analyzes blueprints, estimates loads, and recommends support equipment.
• Selects and transports tools, machinery, and materials for assignments.
• Fabricates sheet metal and structural units; guards, stairs, conveyors, platforms, etc.
• Maintains shop tools and equipment; performs cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Communicates information to next shift and directs contract labor.
• May visit customers to troubleshoot equipment and/or finished cans.
• Follows SOPs; maintains professional relationships; handles stress.
• Works assigned schedule or 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, overtime/on-call as needed.
• Participates in environmental management and waste procedures as trained.
