Job summary

Commercial Metals seeks a skilled facility technician to support maintenance and equipment operations across our recycling centers, fabrication plants, and mills. The role involves hands-on work with heavy equipment, hydraulics, and electric wiring, ensuring safe, efficient performance daily.

You will read technical manuals, follow procedures, and document services performed while collaborating with teammates to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics and wiring beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needs
• Effectively communicates with co-workers and customers in a positive manner
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
