Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a maintenance associate to support our recycling centers, fabrication plants, and heavy equipment operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and help keep production running in an industrial environment.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, welding and fabrication skills, and the willingness to work overtime. We offer training, advancement opportunities, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods in an industrial setting.
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics and heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and service manuals.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Welding, cutting and fabrication skills.

• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
