Job summary

Welch's is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep our Grandview, Washington Plant operating smoothly. You’ll diagnose equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and safeguard food processing uptime.

You will work across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, collaborate with operators and technicians, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement on every shift.

Qualifications

• Three years of hands-on machine maintenance in a food/beverage facility.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with complex automated equipment.
• Clear communication with operators, technicians, and supervisors.
• Independent, proactive work style with safety focus.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled facility.
• Willingness to work any shift.
• Lean or Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to restore operations.
• Work with electrical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, and controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support refrigeration, boiler room, wastewater, and seasonal equipment.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to identify problems and solutions.
• Set up and adjust production and seasonal equipment.
• Suggest improvements to equipment safety, reliability, and performance.
• Follow safety, food safety, sanitation, and housekeeping rules.
