Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment at the Dayville, CT facility. The role focuses on pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems to keep production running safely and reliably.

Shift is 2nd, Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00 pm to 12:30 am. Applicants must be 18+, able to lift 15–50 pounds, and work in extreme temperatures and loud environments. Full-time benefits accompany this position.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, valves, and pumps.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and testing equipment.
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work orders to support equipment reliability.
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.

Quick Look

• Work Days:Tuesday - Saturday 2nd shift

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Required to work on weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without accommodation
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety

Helpful Experience

• Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)
• Multi-craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical systems and mechanical systems)
