Job summary

PepsiCo Dayville facility seeks a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, valves, and pumps, and to diagnose AC/DC electrical issues using schematics and testing equipment.

You will support equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, respond to calls, inspect machines, and take corrective action. The role requires multi-craft skills and the ability to work on a challenging 2nd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Weekend and holiday work required.
• Able to lift 15–50 pounds with/without accommodation.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, stretch for extended periods.
• Able to work in extreme temps, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Quick Look

• Pay: $43.26 per hour

• Location: 1886 Upper Maple St, Dayville, CT, 06241-1514

• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 2nd shift, 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Required to work on weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without accommodation
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety

Helpful Experience

• Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)
• Multi-craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical systems and mechanical systems)
