Job summary

PepsiCo is hiring a maintenance technician at the Gothenburg, NE facility. The role focuses on maintaining all plant equipment and electrical systems, with hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs and electrical circuitry.

You will work a Monday–Friday schedule with weekend availability as needed, supporting safety and production continuity. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair conveyors, electrical panels, and control systems, using meters and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift around 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
• Willing to work in extremely hot/humid environments with hazardous/loud equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all facility equipment and operating systems (bucket elevators, drag conveyors, screw conveyors).
• Regular inspection of electrical and power units in the facility.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems; read schematics; use volt-ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope.
• Support preventative maintenance and work order tracking; apply PLC knowledge to diagnose issues.
• Respond to maintenance calls and restore equipment to operation under pressure.
• Inspect machines, develop repair lists, and plan short- and long-term repairs.
