Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) invites applications for a Maintenance Mechanic in Washington, DC. You will support the engineering team, perform building maintenance, and respond to tenant service requests to keep spaces functional and safe.

The role requires 3-5 years in related trades, EPA Universal CFC certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and access ladders. Independent work and teamwork are both valued.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• EPA Universal CFC certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and drive.
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
• Capability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team with maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment.
• Complete painting, pressure cleaning, minor plumbing repairs, locksmith work, and tenant service requests.
• Perform interior maintenance including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture.
• Maintain lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts throughout the property.
• Conduct property inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues early.
• Comply with all safety procedures while maintaining clean, organized work areas.
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training programs to advance your skills.
